TempleofTreasures:Engagingcustomerswithreal-timerewards

Dynamo6 developed a real-time shopping centre giveaway system for Kiwi Property, resulting in over 5,000 entries and increased foot traffic across their locations. This engaging campaign used iPads, connected screens, and a Temple of Treasures theme.

About the project

Kiwi Property, a nationwide shopping centre operator, wanted to boost foot traffic and engagement across four locations. They envisioned a real-time, interactive promotion where shoppers could win gift cards.

What we did

Dynamo6 collaborated with Kiwi Property to create the technology for the 'Temple of Treasures' promotion. Shoppers who made qualifying purchases received unique codes, enabling them to enter the 'Temple of Treasures'—strategically placed interactive activation locations featuring iPads. The activation locations allowed shoppers to enter their codes and contact information, creating an interactive and engaging experience.

Project details

During the 2024 school holidays, from the 15th to the 22nd of April, The Base, Lynn Mall, Northlands, and The Plaza shopping centres each ran the Temple of Treasures promotion. This interactive campaign allowed lucky shoppers to win a share of gift cards from a total prize fund per location of up to $10,000.

The promotions' magic happened through a custom system built by Dynamo6. Upon entering a code, a win-or-lose message was broadcast on connected screens in the activation locations, creating an exciting and interactive experience for participants.

Behind the scenes, the system allowed for dynamic prize management, ensuring a fair distribution of gift cards throughout the promotion period. Dynamo6 also leveraged the provided artwork and custom-built the front end of the website instances, creating a visually appealing interface that matched the Temple of Treasures theme.

The results

The 'Temple of Treasures' promotion was a triumph, with over 5,000 entries recorded across the four locations. This innovative campaign not only achieved Kiwi Property's goals of increased foot traffic but also provided a fun, interactive experience for shoppers, demonstrating significant customer engagement.

Special thanks to the team at Te Awa-The Base for permission to share the promotion's photos.
