Dynamo6’s Innovation Lab is a unique facilitated workshop that explores business challenges and ideas and prototypes experimental ways to tackle them, such as with Generative AI.
Experiment to innovate
We’ve designed the Dynamo6 Innovation Lab to provide a dedicated space for experimentation. In the lab, we’ll work with you to explore ideas and solutions, as well as create a working Proof of Concept, including a business case and scale-up plan.
Whether it’s for new product development, tackling gnarly organisational time-sucks, or for fun, Innovation Lab is the space to get experimental with tech.
What to expect
The Innovation Lab is not just a workshop; it's a collaborative journey. It's a dedicated space for exploring your challenges and ideas. Guided by a design-thinking approach, we co-propose solutions and begin to define technical solutions together.
Through the lab sessions, and guided by our business and technology experts, you’ll move into a rapid prototyping phase. This is where new technology, such as Generative AI, is drawn upon, and we begin creating working Proof of Concepts, ready to kickstart your next big thing!
The Process
Discover
In our facilitated workshop, we’ll explore your ideas and challenges in detail, creating an outline for the puzzle we will solve.
Define
Here, we’ll start thinking about what’s possible and what the opportunity presents, perhaps commercially or in time and cost savings to an organisation.
Ideate
Next, we’ll brainstorm the ‘what ifs…’, with our technology experts utilising the oh-so-simple solutions to completely out-of-the-gate thinking to address the opportunities.
Develop
This stage gets into coding, mixing data, ideas, logic, data, and all the magic ingredients needed for the technical bits to prototype the concept.
Demonstrate
Ideas, concepts, and market opportunities are written up and backed up with a working demo of the code, ready to share with the world.
Who we work with
Who's it for?
Innovation Lab works best with cross-functional teams with knowledge across the organisation and challenges they’d like to explore.
Take, for example, a public service organisation wanting to tackle ways to speed up the OIA request process. A range of people who know the process, the departments a request touches, and any compliance considerations would be the best people to form a team to participate.
No technical knowledge or Generative AI expertise is required to take part. We’ll support you there!
The outputs
We aim to create a Proof of Concept. This concept can be in various stages depending on the complexity of your challenge and the technical solutions. Still, usually, we’d aim to get into stage 3 of the below:
- An explained idea, technical summary, and feasibility plan.
- A sample of the idea in code or concept drawings, designs, or descriptions.
- A coded element of the solution.
